Turret Clean Up

What should I do with the lip that the chassis guy left on these turrents? Cut flush or leave a 10mm lip and tap over???

(PS - not too impressed with his welding on these :evil: )

If it's not hitting on anything leave it as it adds strength. I'd be using Sikaflex seam sealer anywhere there isn't any welds also.
