I always had problems with 32/36 on motorkhana cars and recently on my track car. Replaced with sidedrafts - problem solvered.

Do you think it's a vacuum issue or fuel delivery / jetting that the 32/36 lacks . Side drafts are not the quick cheep fix I was looking for !!

What do side drafts really give you other than more air ?

There's probably a fix available as i'm pretty sure the formula fords have to run them. The last one i had would cough and splutter out of right-handers (mainly). I never persued making it work, someone else on here might have a better idea of what needs doing to get the 32/36 running better. A pair of 40mm Dellortos might be a cheap upgrade option, i replaced the 32/36 on my last pinto with these and it worked very well.

I played a little bit with jetting and float levels (incresed) which helped (minor), but the problem was still there.

I'd try cleaning & rebuilding it with a new gasket kit and then see how it goes.

Cheers
