panhard recommendation for road/track
No need really for a Panhard rod if you have std springs. 4-link it with slipper springs and you will need some form of sideways location for the axle.
depending on what class you want to enter as or if it was a road car I would not bother with a panhard rod as it will still bind up the springs. Where did you get the springs from as King's don't do a "Motorsport" spring as such
Thanks guys, The axle does seem to be moving during cornering as there are already markings on the tyre and inside of the rear guards. After your feedback i will give it a miss untill i see how it goes on track. I have no intention of entering any particular class or event. Im just building a car that i like
And I would definitely use an adjustable height panhard if you go that route as given the already less than perfect geometry, you would want to get it as good as possible.
All that adjustable height mounts do is bend To be honest the car will handle better without a panhard than with one so don't bother unless you're going to a watts
Yeah but he hasn't got a 4 link that's why I said that With links so the panhard is not binding up against the spring a panhard is generally ok but on surfaces with a lot of grip The panhard has a tendency to try and lift the rear of the car off the deck which can also be a pain in the arse
