Does anyone know what to do about the replacing that ugly massive thing on the left hand side of the 2L block. I think its the crakcase ventilation plug but i was wondering if there are neater methods of sealing that hole.
Also would it be a problem if the oil cap did not have a breather hole as in it was one solid piece.
Thanks
Rod

Gotta let blowby out.
You can seal up the old cortina style fillers, with a bit of inventive silcone placement.
Redline do one of these especially for the pinto.
Fits straight on that breather baffle

i have a real bad case of blow-by..
aaaaand i dont know why..
my breather likes to spit oil, im also using one of those filters ^^
PCV rattles when i shake it, so it SHOULD be working.. and its connected to vacuum on manifold.

I currently have a hose coming out of the crankcase breather that is located underneath the inlet manifold. This leads up into the inlet manifold.
Now I'm about to fit a pair of Weber's. On the underneath side of the twin's manifold is an inlet for this hose to connect into. Will I need another breather hose off the oil filler cap (there currently isn't one), or will the current one that goes into the manifold suffice?
Alternatively (or eventually) I can set up an Oil Catch Can. Can someone post some pics of their set up? I gather the Catch Can just replaces the current breather set up with the same hoses being redirected into the new Catch Can... correct?
