Kevin,
I would appreciate your thoughts on the following........................
This trap door looks good ?

Kevin,
The RS alloy sump picture I posted is for the Mk1 & 2 Escort (1974-1981), it is Ford Factory, I have modified it to suit what I think it needs. To clarify the Mk1 & 2 Escort only ever got the SOHC pinto engines from ford.
Many Mk1 & 2 Escorts have been refitted with Cosworth 16V YB Engines. Some people use the Sierra (1986 - ?) 2WD sump and modify it to fit the engine bay. Others (such as myself) use the RS SOHC sump on the YB.
My car is a Mk1 Escort, I am fitting an Escort Cosworth YBP (1994-1997) 16V to it. I am using the alloy RS SOHC sump. It is modified to relocate the pickup to the well centre, gated and the well covered to keep the oil in the bottom. It uses the cosworth pump, custom pickup and Ford YBP sprays.
The YBP sprays get oil from holes into the main gallery that runs along the block at the bottom of the bores. All other Ford delivered YB's get oil out of the pump and spray from the tubes tangled around the pickup.
The pics from ebay you posted are of a 2WD Cosworth Sierra sump, pump and pickup/spray.
