Turns out the conrods I was looking at are the smaller 8mm bolts and not the 9mm I had hoped.

Does anyone know if I changed to ARP bolts would there be any issues using the smaller bolts?

The car won't be an all out racer but I hope to see some track time in the future and plan to keep the max revs to 7500.

just drill em out to the next size up
have you got a battery drill ?

If by battery drill you mean hand held rechargeable thing then yes I do.

I would imagine you'd want it pretty spot on though.

Many people in Melbourne know Matt for what he is - a genuine honest down to earth nice bloke who has a huge zest for life, family and a passion for Escorts

He may not have a mechanical or engineering background but he at least has the sense to admitt it and the brains to ask questions and seek opinions from people whom he believes do and when he has the answers he has a go at doing things himself

The world would be a better place with more Matt's and less people who think the pistol drill comment was even remotely ammusing
