Posted: Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:13 pmChanged the Coil and Condensor, no joy!! Changed the points to another 2nd hand set, Bingo!! My memory tells me that this is the second set of points that has failed in this car. Weird!! Any suggestions?

if these were new points then they have an oxidation on the surface which does not conduct current.
Rub it off with a bit of sandpaper.
