2.0L blow through carb setup?

Hi All,
I have had a bit of a look and can't find any info on setting up a SU (or other carby) blow through turbo setup with intercooler for a 2.0L Pinto. Does anyone have any links / photos / articles etc. It is only an idea as I would like to one day build a MK1 2 door RS2000 look alike with a turbo and I think injecting it would lose the period feel / look.

sounds like your setting up a suck thru if it runs an su, i don't know much about settin it up but i do have some parts left over from a suck thru setup 2 carby's, and some other stuff i used the turbo manifold from a blow thru setup tho

Joe84 what you have is a Draw Through setup - carb then turbo.
What I'm chasing info on is Blow Through - Air into Pod filter, turbo, intercooler, carb(s) (modified to handle boost) then engine

yea i realise that, just never seen an su on anything apart from a draw thru setup, which i thought was the period look, have you looked at an ea falcon throttle body, pretty stealth cheap efi, looks like a carby

Blow through carb setup is very similar to suc setup
You need to seal and pressurise the fuel bowl by pumping air from the inlet maifold to equalize fuel bowl 1-1 with manifold pressure.
You also need a rising rate fuel reg and a fuel pump capable of boost pressure plus whatever psi the carb runs on.
ie if the carb needs 4psi fuel pressure n/a plus your running 6psi of boost you need 10psi of fuel pressure and
regulator capable of returning the fuel to the tank.
solex and webbers are popular choices for blow through
and thats about all I really know about blow through turbo setups

I know that the draw through system was all the rage in the 70's, but "the Rover Company (already a builder of industrial gas turbines) built experimental 2.5 liter 4-cylinder turbodiesels (including versions with an intercooler) in 1963". So while not 100% period for an Escort - the basics were there - having said that so was mechanical injection - but I'll put that in the too hard basket.
