RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

I am running a standard Pinto of unknown history in the family motorkhana car (Locost chassis). This means generally first gear and high rpm. The engine has recently started leaking oil down the inlet side from I think around the cam cover. What's going on? Is blowby and crankcase pressure likely to do this? Any other suggestions?

High revs usually put a lot of oil in the rocker cover, any gaps will leak profusely. Some put an oil return line from the head to the sump. Check the rocker cover bolt tightness, possibly a new gasket/reseal?

Personally, in all the 2.0 Escorts I have motorkhanered over the years (most with HSCCQ), I have never had this problem and never had a return line.

thanks - cam cover bolts are tight so I'll add new gasket to the end of season job list.
