I would like to say thanks for your replys i ve sorted it out,well i hope so i decided to make a high energy sump,i just need to sort out some sort of oil baffle

Thanks Shaun my cortina runs a pinto and so do you guys so your tips, tweeks and mods, ideas i pick from to make the pinto rev out to 6k

who 's sump r u talkin about? mines is just visable in my mk 1 cortina 30 mm bellow the sway bar dose this help

After several months of removing and replacing the sump & gaskets i decided to purchase a American Ford Pinto 2.0 litre front bowl sump( no baffles in the sump standard from factory) cost me $150.00 inc the pick up its been well worth it no more oil leaks or weeps from the seam weld just in case your wondering its a MK 1Cortina fitted with a 2.0 litre pinto and a escort 4 speed box
