........nearly stock pinto rods.
STD bolts.
Have a look up inside piston for markings, if any
Hmm not liking the bearing wear area.......need better pics though.

i remember having this conversation with nev once !
i was lead to the conclusion in the early days that
the rods with the [sdfa }(all small lower case lettering) stamping being standard rods
the specialy selected ford competition
rods with the last 2 letters BA " sdfBA " stamped in capital letters
same as in your pic were suposed to be better & suposed to be fitted to a mk1 rs & german rs , but i cant be sure
i honestly dont know the diference between the 2 but was always told these were better ,
bottom line being they are probably crap if you wanna rev the thing hard
but could be better than std & most likely "period corect"

Heres a pic...
I also wondered about the heat marks, looks like they were heated so the pins could be pushed through.

They just look like nicely prepped standard rods to me.
Hmmm... 7500rpm.... the head is saying "maybe" for short term use but then a lot of other people with a heavier right foot than mine have proved otherwise. After all that's all they used in the early Group C days and they used to flog them to death for hours.
