why do you have a catch can AND a PCV? Is there a vacuum source attached to the PCV?

PCV stands for positive crankcase ventalation and I was unaware that the valve needs vacuum to operate.
my understanding was that the presure in the sump vents through the valve which is just a ball and seat. Wont positive crankcase pressure lift the ball off the seat and vent it to atmosphere any way without manifold vacuum?

Thanks for the PCV info, We'll have to change all that - project for next week sometime. We plan on removing PCV and running a hose from block to can and then from rocker cover to can.

Serviced it this weekend. Have gone a compression test. 160, 190, 160, 190 From front to back of engine. Seems a little weird.

The number 2 plug seemed to have a bit of oil on the plug and the thread? This could very well be the stuffed cylinder?

Wouldn't surprise.

I think we need to find a new tuner, these guys cannot get the dcoe's working properly with the unifilter socks on (hampers air flow too much apparently)

Anyone wanting to sell an airbox to suit twin dcoe's :roll:

It's running pretty well at the moment though (much better than it was)
