I use A7FS plugs in my pinto ( non -projected tip ), and have the earth strap indexed to the top of the combustion chamber. Just bought a couple of boxes of plugs and found a couple of sets that screw in right. I am running domed pistons though. Very happy with this setup.

Sorry to get slightly off topic but does anyone have any tips for removing stuck spark plugs?
My very worked rally pinto has been sitting in the shed for close to 10 years. I'm very reluctant to turn it over before I get some light lubricating oil down into the bores, however all 4 spark plugs are stuck fast.
I've put about as much effort into loosening them as you can with a standard length socket driver, and wanted to seek some more advice before applying more leverage with a torque wrench or breaker bar.
Obviously I am very unkeen to strip threads in the head given how much work has gone into getting it to flow. Also being unwilling to start the engine limits the normal method of applying heat to try and crack the seal.
Thoughts on stuck spark plugs anyone?

I've got a similar problem with an alloy lotus twincam head and was going to try spraying from both ends Permatex Fast Break Super Penetrant which worked better than WD40, unless someone has a better idea?

if you want to oil the bores , take the extractors & inlet manifold off
squirt some stuff in then reasemble & start it up to get it hot then get the plugs out

Heres a budget performance tip that will save the blood sweat & tears involved in indexing your plugs for that "maybe" 1HP gain at the track. Have one less beer the night before, and skip brekky on race day!! Power to weight ratio, do this for a week before the meeting and you will go even faster.......ummmm....am i kicked out yet?? Jeff
