RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

a very wet and humid morning 1600 started ok ish, tokk a few turns of the key and accelerator prods, let her warm up and then drove about 5 mins (6km or so) in the pouring rain, avergae about 90km per hr, came off the highway and through a roundabout then 200 yards to a second roundabout in to second, into first off the breaks and stopped, not stalled just stopped and wouldnt started again spent about five minutes trying it on the key again then a break and again, not even wanting to fire. foot flat to the floor and she spluttered then roared got to work left her sat all day and she started first time come home time. Any thoughts and ideas as to what I should start looking for?

thanks mate will check once this wet weather dissapears, thought that but it was bucketing down and figured would only get more water in there, me thinks a good dose of WD40 once shes dried out will be in order.
