Neil,
as you are running twin carbs I guess you do not have the std ECU, correct?
If yes, then that Burton distributor is of no use.
You will need a YB/Pinto distributor with (limited) mechanical advance modified for twin carbs.
Leon.

Leon is correct. Get hold of a Pinto distributor in good order, convert it to electronic ignition with a Crane system(I use a HI6 system) and get the advance recurved to about 32 degrees total advance. You will also need a right angle dissy cap and top quality ignition leads.
I havent looked at what Burton's are selling for the YB or Pinto as yet but they may have a suitable unit off the shelf.

Thanks for the response I have just purchased the YB for my rally car and intend running Motec with plug hole coils but was looking for a quick and cheap way to get it going for the next event as i am running out of time to install the ECU and loom.
I rang Burton and found them useless as usual ! all i got was some clown reading me the catalog that i already have . He was confused why a turbo distributor advance wouldn't suit a N/A motor.

Have a look at the Burton FT295K.
All you will need apart from this one is a right angle cap.
Popular mod for use with twin carbs over here is the 1.6 Pinto electronic system with the "199" module.
Don't know if you have these over there though.

Thanks for all your help but I didn't want to spend to much to get the car going for one event so I will try to fit the ECU straight up.
