I think I am going to need to changeover a brake booster on the first of these RS's I have at present.
I already have a couple of dodgy ones but if anyone has a decent used one or is wrecking a car at present, please let me know.
Cheers

Shaun,
I have a booster from a Mk2 that I shall have no use for. Unsure of condition as it came in a box of bits.
Give me a call if you like.
Cheers

I'm pretty sure you should be able to get yours rebuilt......
BHSS-TBS Brake & Steering Remanufacturing have been around for years and do a great job. Just had my 1970 Twin Cam calipers rebuilt and they had the kits in stock.

Yeh, your best bet is to have one rebuilt, the boosters are a pain to fit and you would hate to put it together to have the replacement fail on you a month or so down the track. Not all of them can, some are a sealed unit. Have a look around the outside edge of one, the side of the pedal rod, and see if it has some indents to essentially hold the back plate in. If it does your on a winner. If you have a few, one is bound to be right.

Anthony you have mail.
teeq and Darren , yeah I know they can be rebuilt (well some can) but this is only a road car (race cars have pedal box's dont they?).
I have never had a problem changing one over, takes about 40 mins and 3 beers.

Hi Mate,
Did you end up getting one? I just found one you have if you want it.
Not sure if it works but it's yours if you want.
I am in Doncaster VIC.

I have just removed one from my car with no intention of returning to it.

Danny,
There's no problem with the actual brakes, they are not hard at all, the revs just go up and down a bit too much due to the vac shift. I am quite happy with the way it drives and stops but I do try and get things working right before I sell them.
This car is only a cheapy and believe me there IS a budget.
Mickas, yep I do work for a bank, unfortunately the only free samples we give out are bundles of cash.....no brake boosters.
Cheers

Shaun,
I tried to ring yesterday. Would you like me to get the recoed one from Eugene? I know you prefered a non recoed one, but this was working fine in his rallycar up until earlier this year.
Cheers.
