If you know of any decent second hand cars out there I'm chasing one for the eldest son who cooked the motor on his Nissan Patrol a couple of weeks ago (thats what happens when the welsch plug exits the block and you keep driving until steam comes out of the engine).

In his world he's chasing a 6 Cyl Falcon (Fairlane?) or Commodore (common moderators - remove that word) or a Ute.

In my world, as the financier of his 3rd car in less then 3 Years, I'm looking for something that is in good condition, reliable (that rules out an Escort) and comes with a Safety Cert. Budget up to $3,000 (maybe a bit more for the right car) .

Prefer something within 100km of the Sunshine Coast.
