I need an early 75/76 MK2 Escort, can be either 2dr or 4dr but must be a manual, and must have minimal or no rust in firewall. Rest of car not important! Not asking much I know [-o<

Prefer car to be in either Brisbane or Sydney.

I couldn't believe it, another auto. I added it up, I've found 7 early MK2's over the last 3 months, including 2x 2drs and they were all auto's....

Who actually bought 1300/1600 auto Escorts anyway :?:

Who actually bought 1300/1600 Escorts?.....Obviously a few people as they are still around. My mate bought a 1300 auto when we were at school. Headed down to Phillip Is. and he had to changed down into 2nd just to get up the hill at Anderson (its a 2 mile long hill just before you get to the Island, if you've never been there).....My V6 Capri lopes up it. Doesn't even drop below 100kph in top (And its a 3spd auto!!!)
