I could only find photos of a black RS1600 on that website. No mexico anywhere...

Why would you use an original RS1600 shell for motorsport anyway??? Crazy. Maybe he put the cage in when he bought it way back in the day before they became so valuable (as unmolested cars that it).

Regulations back in the day.
It's been molested with arches, so it's devalued by half already.

Didn't the RS1600 come with arches as standard or was that an option (assuming this is an RS1600 shell and not a Mex as stated)?

Arches were always an option and never standard on any model.
