13x8 Rebels - Want to swap for a set of 13x7's

As per above I have a set of 13x8 Rebels that I want to swap for a set of 13x7 or smaller.
They are too wide for me as I have rear disks and the front hubs are 10mm wider than standard and the car is quite low.
These would be perfect for a standard height escort or if you have flares.
Cheers
Matt

You sure they're 8's
Where did you measure them

I didn't know that. I measured them inside edge to outside edge. So then they are 7inch rims then. I may put some 185's on the rims and see how I go.
Thanks for the pick up.
Cheers

I run 175/60 Kumhos on 7's, helps with lip clearance.

Hey Ozstang,
Are they the kumho v70a's. I have heard very good things about them. I know they do them in a 185 but I have been told that even 185 will be too narrow for the rims?
Cheers
Matt

Yes, the V70A's, I've been using them for quite a few years now and they're not too bad and relatively cheap. 175/60 or 215/50 are their 13" sizes. I'm going to try a set of 215's next.
These are the 175s on 7" Hotwires

Depending what event
A050R's in soft and medium I'm liking quite a lot for I/P and for the Gucci events where tyres are more free the Hankook Z214 in C51 compound for circuits and C71 for the short stuff
The Kuhmo's have too many grooves especially on the outside edge and heat up far too much and walk around on the tread all the times as well

Thanks Danny, always good to hear other peoples experiences with tyres. I am a big fan of the 50's as well, instantly improved my times. Haven't tried the Hankooks and don't know if they are eligible for group n or not, might have to look. I, personally, have had a really good run with the khumo's and find on my car they are more predictable than 888 Toyo's and don't go off as quick. Do find they are more prone to wheelspin off the line and take a bit longer to come on though. On a slightly damp track I find the toyos better though. I run 175-60 Khumo's and AO50's and 205-60 Toyo's on 13 x 7's. Sorry to the op about going off topic.
Cheers Peter

Not a fan of 888's at all but at least they don't over heat the outers but I'd use the 50's before any of the I/P Grp N tyres at the moment
