Not mine but does anybody recognise the type? Is it a YB or perhaps an aftermarket? How does one tell if it is a 'steel' crank versus a standard item (which is forged???)?

I'm no expert but does it appear to be a standard 6 bolt Pinto (Cosworth has 9 flywheel bolts?) crank?
How do you tell?

Definitely something different about the nose with the machined down bit at the front. Just checked mine in the shed and its the same od to the end. The counter weights look quite chunky compared to a standard crank also
Same guy has a RL31 Kent cam for sale as well

The pics of the Farndon cranks on the Burton's website look different in the counterweight shape so I guess it isn't one of those.

I wouldn't bother as it's too heavy and not fully counterbalanced

Oh OK. I was never interested in buying this but was just asking around as I had no idea how to tell one from another. Billet are usually mega beaucoup dollars???
