No mate it is a different animal to a YB. From a Chevy Vega, which is like a shrunken version of a pontiac fire bird and the car that was in Waynes World.

American version of the Lotus twin cam. The car was never successful sales wise. Lots of info out there if your interested. Extremely rare beasty nowadays.

The Vega Cosworth used a 2lt Chevrolet 4 cylinder bottom end and then they had Cosworth produce a 16v cylinder head for it and were homolagated for motorsport in the US and I know of a couple of the engines were used here in Sports Cars in the 70's
The guy thats selling it bought a complete car and is putting a V8 in it which is a real shame

Cosworth Vega - Only Cossie bit is the head and they are an orphan (wont fit anything else).

These are usually listed as one of the all time lemons of cars, the main issue being (and this is only based on what I have read - so dont shoot the messenger if this is wronmg), is that the blocks were alloy but did not use iron liners and the engines wore out and started blowing smoke in as few as a couple of hundred miles.

Recalled heaps of times for a variety of quick fixes of which none worked. You would think sleeving the blocks would work but not a cheap exercise.

I dont think the car from Waynes World? Wasnt that was an AMC Pacer and another whole level of lemon....?

Sorry my point was it looked like a cross between a pontiac fire bird and the waynes world car. Not that it was the type of car from waynes world.
