RS2000 4dr for sale in NQ

Now that’s out of the way - this Aug'79 factory 4 door RS2000 manual car was purchased by the current owner in 1980 at just over 12 months old, original owner had a sliding sun roof fitted. During the 80s it was fitted with a Capri V6, Celica 5 speed and a shortened Cortina diff.
Capri V6, gearbox and diff was removed around 1990 and driveline returned to standard spec.
At some time during the 1980s rust in the rear vents was repaired and vents closed off. During thsi time a XB GS bonnet skin was grafted onto the original bonnet - has just lifted around the edge and requires minimal work to rectify.
Car had a rebuilt engine fitted in early 1990's and driven approx 2 hours. Car was then parked in a shed with a car cover over it. The engine has been started and run regularly. Driven around the block approx 12 months ago, brakes, lights etc. operating OK at that time.
This is a factory 4 door RS2000, no identifiable rust, fresh engine (original matching number short engine will be supplied if you want it), clean interior - seats front and rear retrimmed but drivers base will need new straps, door cards a little wavy, hood lining good, all plastics good condition, choice of three sets of wheels - chrome steel 13 x 7s currently fitted, 13 x?? Cheviot Turbos or a mystery set I have not seen as yet, tyres hold air but will need replacing, RS steering wheel and gear knob currently not fitted - currently fitted with std escort items but can supply aftermarket sports wheel, owner advised odo has rolled one only - travelled 139,600 klms.
Asking price $6,000.00 as is.
I had a look at it yesterday for him and agreed to list on his behalf. Car is sound and requires a small amount of tidying up around the edges - this two owner car has been hibernating in a shed for nearly twenty years and is only offered for sale because the owner does not have time to drive it - still maintained the passion for the blue oval, just branched out into Hot Rods.
