RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

Hi everyone a quick report on rd1 of the A series of the Qld Spuer Sprints at Morgan Pk Raceway. We had heavy rain on the Friday night which flooded the back section of the track so we had to switch from the 2.2km track E to the 1.2km track B. During the day we had light to medium rain. Alot of competitors left early for different reasons but over 60 of us started the event. There was around 5 Escorts and one Mk1 Cortina. After 4 races the event ended as so many people had left but I managed to win outright in my Mk1 Escort so I'm very happy about that. More people should bring wet weather tyres as I had no trouble with the conditions. Managed to beat the 4wd turbos which is always satisfying in a 2wd car. Yes but the Commodore was on slicks and has lots of horsepower so can't be to critical it would have been a hand full but at lest hhe was having a go.

Well done Darrin! Looked like a shitload of fun, even at a greatly reduced speed.

Haven't done any rally since the 80's in the Gaven forest but it did teach me car control.
