I took the car out for a good run to make sure its running cool and the clutch started to slightly slip once or twice. When I got back I noticed oil on the floor and then found the bellhousing was covered in it on the inside.
I have since found out that I may have been running too thin an oil (5w40) and since this is the first time the car has been out for a good run (100k's) and getting rev'd quite hard the pressure might have pushed it past the seals....there seems to be leaks from the sump pan and the oil filter housing as well as the front cover.
I was very gutted yesterday as the gearbox has just been off to fix leaks to that!
I'm hoping it is thin oil and I'm going to try some 15w50 to see if its okay then. Still looks like the gearbox has to be dropped again though to sort the sodden clutch!
Worse case is its a rear main seal or the sump pan gasket behind the fly wheel. The joys of effing cars
