Hi, anybody running the HRCC race meet on the 14th and 15th of July at Morgan Park? I'm just doing the regularity, did it last year and had a lot of fun. Plenty of overtaking, in one of the regularities I managed to do 9 laps just missed out on 10 in a 6 lap event. Passing so many cars is a lot of fun. Everyone takes notice of the blue flags and gives plenty of room. An event everyone should try to enter. Just a great weekend, rather cold but the pubs are warm. Lots of great cars in Group A, C. N and all of the open wheeler classes well worth going.

Darrin - I'll be there waiving the Blue Flag so you are given a clear track. There should be some RS Owners Club cars coming up for the trip (spectating not competing).
Weekend after that is Noosa Hillclimb, following weekend of Group A/C at Lakeside, followed by V8's @ QR, Then Shannons at QR. Then I've got a 2 week break and we're taking the RS to Muscle Car Masters in Sydney (long drive with fingers crossed)

I am hammering the old boy to run Eastern creek this year. Sounds like a few on here are heading down.
I hope Neville is running the group A day out Lakeside soon?
Yes. Very busy couple months heading our way.

Made for entertaining in-car video

I just couldn't understand how the Starion was leading all the Group A/C races.
Karma happened in the wet when the Mk 1 Cortina won the Group N race on Sat afternoon.
Spoke to the guy with the A9X Torana on Sunday morning -he said the wet saturday race was just a cruise around. That had something about the car wanting to drive straight on when they steering wheel was turned (Hope and pray is the technical term in the drivers manual)

There were some people making alligators at the GP that the Starion was running E85. But I checked and it was on avgas.
I think it's got more to do with the varying levels of ability/experience and desire of the drivers. Several of the cars appear to be rolling around for enjoyment whilst others including the Starion were having a crack. Both of which are fair enough.
It's not a true racing class but great to watch the cars run around.
