Using the old FULL circuit (E) this year, and at a good price for both events compared to the bigger Historic Club Meet later in the year. Putting my entry in asap.

Brian will be running my car on the Sunday, if i don't rattle my Dags.
The old man isn't that interested in Morgan park events.

Last weekend was the HRCC's annual Test, Tune & Training and Sprint weekend at Morgan Park. Here are a few photos.

Weekend Report:

Drove from Bisbane to Cunningham Hwy in heavy rain early Friday arvo (Escort wipers aren't the best), then Cunningham Hwy to Warwick rain eased to virtually nothing. Looking hopeful.

Woke Saturday morning to rain which persisted ALL day; two wet/two greasy runs, lots of car spins including myself but only one minor damaged RX2 Track changed from old long circuit to slightly shortened D circuit. Of note was being passed by Duratec powered Escort Mk2, down the inside and usually always sideways (show off ). Good day for learning car control and trottle control as corner speeds were generally down.

Sunday had blue sky, same D circuit but track still lacking grip (that's my excuse as my times were a bit under par); four dry timed runs and great fun had by all.

I didn't take a camera but professional photos by Ian Welsh as per link below and click on HRCC Triple T and HRCC Historic Sprints for each day.



Unfortunately Scott didn't make it nor did Mark. Better luck next time guys.

but
this car is a perfect example of a good quick car
running an ALFA ROMEO rear end complete with discs ,4.44 lsd & alloy housing
with escort stud patern and
about 4000 kg,s lighter than an atlas or toyota rear end
this mod was popular years ago & might not be perfect but
there was a lotta good reasons to do it
& this car proves it by how quick it can be
for memory they can be a little bit of a problem in a rally car
with rocks smashing the alloy diff housing
but they were a good cheap conversion
in the early days

Yeah, I should have it ready for next year ... I mean, next weekend.

I have never driven the 'D' track, would have been interesting. So, are you going to do some more of the HRCC events there this year?

Hey Scott, hopefully I'll be able to make more events there this year as I see on the MP calendar two more HRCC events set down for May and July.
