Mt Cotton Hillclimb Round 5, 30th & 31st October

Some photos from the latest round taken over the last 2 days. Now that I don't have a car to drive for a while I am back to taking stupid amounts of photos. Nev might even be ready to let put them into the "gallery" section again?

Results are not out yet, but he does drive it very well and does a lot of these types of events. It has good tyres and a cage in it, but it's so bloody quiet!!

Results here

He did 4 runs in the 52's for (unfair) comparison Danny was doing 47's ( his record in the old car was 45.3 ) my PB is 47.2.

Hey Gary
Sorry I missed having a bigger chat with you 'n' Catrin, and thanks for posting the pics.
A quick question, just wondering if you could smell burning brakes when I went past as Danny said my handbrake must be stuck on?
Cheers, Darren

Hmm, no real urgency from the marshall to get over there and make sure the driver was O.K.!? Headed straight for the front of the car to see if they needed a tow truck and fiddle with the front spoiler!!! thumbdown.gif

Just as well it wasn't too serious eh? crash.gif

Mark,
Do you still want to run at this event :?: they did not even go near the driver to check if he was injured. More intent on get things cleaned up for the next run to keep the event on time.
I thought for CAMS events you need to have a door net to stop an arm from doing this. Mind you, once I saw the driver get out and immediately put on his "Wally Hat", I had no further concerns for his well being. dope.gif Have a look on You tube, this guys has done it before bravo.gif
They do need to look at their safety first intervention procedures, before they clean up, though 02cents.gif
I have never run there but after seeing what happens, I don't think I need too. I may be Old and stupid for competing whilst older than 50, but there are a few more years left for me to enjoy motorsport by not competeing at this event.
