RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

If anyone is interested in taking a nice long drive to Leyburn (between Toowoomba and Warwick) for this long running event won't be disappointed with the quality of the entries or competition. The track has just been resurfaced in Hotmix so a lot of people are going back for another go. The previous 2 runnings have been better suited to Rally Cars than circuit cars!!

Danny's car won't be ready in time but Nev is running in the Centaur again and I am going back to have another go this year. The Draft entry list includes 15 Escorts and many other historic Fords. Dick Johnson is also back this year to have a thrash in Daryl Bray's Escort and also a GTHO Falcon and Bruce Garland will also be running in his Rally Escort.

yesterday i counted about 13 mk 1,s & about 7 mk2,s
it was a good day , some pretty quick ones amongst them too
and dare i say a few few who looked a bit slow
& a few cars that realy suprised me on just how quick they
were in fairly low tech machinery

Just got back from a long day out at Leyburn.......

Watched Gary a few times but every time I went round to say hello he wasn't around. Driving well though mate!

Bruce Garland was driving a lovely alloy arched Mk2 RS2000, loved the colour!

Some thunderous sounding cars out, my fav was the GT40..

Next time I will remember to bring not just Gold Coast attire because I froze me nuts off at 07.00 this morning! Everybody had Gloves and hats on and I had a tshirt, shorts and thongs.

Just gotta keep saying to myself "get car finished, get car finished" and I'll be out next year.
