Congrats Gary on winning your class by a comfortable margin. The spectator fencing looks pretty non-existant.

Thanks Darren. It isn't as bad as it looks in those photos as the ground drops away by about 3/4 of a metre from edge of the track so the tyres are actually stacked about 1 metre high! Also the distance to the fence is probably 15 metres. Having said that though, safety is not what you would find at larger circuit.
You should come out and do this series next year mate, great fun. It is very hard on tyres though, I pulled the wheels off this afternoon and the Toyos are STUFFED. Fortunately only 1 event to go for the year.

Hey Gary. Wouldn't I need a roll cage to run in this series? Plus not to keen to race against other cars at the moment.....just me and the clock wiil do for now.
And I can't believe that the year is almost over with regards to hillclimbs. I've had fun this year, always made a slight improvement each event, learning the track and feeling confident with my car.

Roll cage not required Darren. (see photo) Some of the photos are of cars racing but most are just of cars Sprinting. In the Supersprints you can leave the line in pairs if you want to pretend that you are racing even though you are just going for individual times. Otherwise you can stagger your start so that the only person you are racing is yourself. The timing does not start until your wheels start moving.

Now I'm interested. Might need to work on the brakes though. Not knowing how much heavy braking is needed, but I found after three laps of the Sprint circuit at QR, my brakes were like burnt toast.
