Just to get the word out.

We are running a come and try and practice day on Sunday 27 September at Pimpama on the Gold Coast.

There will not be any formal competition but it will be aimed at juniors who would like to come along and have plenty of practice runs at our khanacross track.

Minimum age is 14 and we are happy to have juniors along that are still getting their confidence up in a car (thats what this day is all about).

Standard road cars are fine at this facility and all cars must use road tyres (CTP extensions also required).

We will also be making rides available in rally cars for those that would like to see what its like to travel a bit quicker!

We will be keeping the costs right down and I will have some more detail when I wrap up the sup regs this week.

Full details will go on the GCTMC website but I will update here as well.

Bump

This day is still on. If you have ever been tempted to come and play in the dirt nows your chance. You will need an extinguisher and a CTP extension but thats about it.

The track is pretty smooth, no problems for a road car , even a lowered one. Sup regs and entry etc is on the gctmc website.

If your Escort is too precious to get dirty bring your helmet and come and have a ride in one!

Thanks Shaun, this was really an excellent event for anyone with a suitable (and reliable) vehicle to get out and have some fun, or if like me you also have a couple of "pre learners permit" teenagers that want to have a drive in a controlled environment.

I will definitely be taking the MK2 out with the boys to the next Khanacross in November.

Gary, good to see the boys finally got some time in the (their) car, behind the wheel. Looked like fun, and driving on dirt is a good skill to learn. I think all learner's should spend some time on a dirt surface before they get their licence. Shows them just how easy it is to loose control.
