RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

Track Attack is looking for drivers to run in our Lakeside Sprint Series.

The best part about our sprints is that you don't need a race prepped car to win some trophies.
Of course we will be running a point score based on speed, but in addition to that we will be running a handicap system like in golf or sailing where driver ability will be the important component.

You are not committed until you have paid your money, so register to show your interest. When I get 15 cars in a group I will send an entry form & invoice. Once we fill a group I will then create a second group.

Entry fee is $170.00 including a pit carport, members of our drivers club have a reduced entry of $160.00 (RSM gets this reduced entry as well)
So as you can see thats a $30.00 saving over the normal entry fee of $189 for the early bird entry

The sprint is run in conjunction with the current QR Lakeside sprint series, same event, less money, how can you lose ?

This event is open to normal road cars that are in good roadworthy condition.
Licensing is via AASA which is only $55.00 for the year, or buy a day license for $20.00

What are the requirements to run?

Do the cars need to be road registered? Noise levels etc?

Hey Neil,

Cars dont have to be registered. But they do have to be safe.

Noise is an issue at Lakeside, basically we looking at normal road car noise, which is something like 95db at 5 mtrs. Marks yellow Escort was fine when he ran there last year. my thing passes OK, but the turbo sucks up all of the noise.

If your worried about noise bring a heap of steel wool and some wire, quite often steel wool up the muffler will pull enough sound out to let you keep running.

I would definately be keen to do something like this, but unfortunately as usual I am full of excuses.. still no engine

Hopefully before the end of this year I can get in on some form of off street fun, lol.

Its good to see a couple of the RSM boys coming out for a run.

hayman island doesnt sound exactly terrible

Gents, for all the sth qld guys competing we are meeting up for brekky at the Nudgee Shell just off the gateway at 7:30am. All welcome who are running.
We will all be together in the pits so let the sledging begin!
