Given Anthony Tanzers upcoming visit, where can we get more info on this event, website does seem to do the event any justice. May drop down for a look see as I haven't seen any rallying for years. Apart from Steve Kings (aka Special K) flick spin at the entrance to speed on tweed Sunday

Sorry Mark,

I thought Shaun would have been along as he'd have more info. The further regs were released last night, 49 cars entered and there's 4 Escorts running. In the past couple of years there's been a pretty cool speccie point set up where the 1st time they came off the bitumen onto the gravel, and last year we came the opposite direction. Unfortunately, I believe they're not using this bit of road this year.

The event starts at 1.00pm I think, and continues until around 10 or 11.00pm. I have no idea of where the speccie points are but we cover something like 350km for 95km competitive, so they may be spread out somewhat. Dave G that's coming along on Friday night to the Norman is the Competitor Relations Officer, so I'll grill him for some info.

Sorrys guys didn't you know, rallying is a secret and unless you know the handshake I cant tell you anything!

Seriously though I have not had much to do with this one other than field some phone calls. There is a link on the GCTMC site that takes you to the rally website.

There will be spectator info at rally HQ which is at the showgrounds (also main service area etc).

Although this is part of the QRC this year there is still a club rally running as a piggyback event and there will be plenty of classics and older cars (read that sound and look like proper rally cars!)
