RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

For the guys in Qld the AHCC is on at Mt Cotton next weekend the 2-4 of November
there is a full field of 120 cars entered with some very quick cars coming with Andrew Howell V8 Cosworth powered Gould open wheeler and the new owner of his Pilbeam with it's 2.5lt Millington engine as well as Kevin Mackeral in his 630Z Datsun (V8 Chev powered 240Z with 4wd)
There is also a promo for the event on Channel 9's Extra program on Monday 29-10-07 at 5:30

Also for the guys in BrisVegas there is a story on the AHCC on Channel 9's Extra program at 5:30 with a few of the open wheeler guys Michael Collin's in his WRX and some "YAHOO" in a Mk2 Escort
The reporter was all for going for a ride around the track until I gave it a bit of a blast down the hills and then proclaimed " there is no way you are getting me in that car" so he went around in Michael's WRX thinking it would be a bit tamer! his mistake!

I won my class and set a new record at a 45.66 with Gary Pitt 2nd on a 48.46
Peter Gumley won as usual on a 37.5? to Andrew Howell in the Gould on a 37.6? with Alan McConnell 3rd with a 38.86
Sports Cars was won by Kevin Mackarel in the 600Z
I didn't see the rest as I had to grab my trophy and bolt as I had to get home and unload before going to a concert but it was a good day with a fair bit of carnage on the last run with two open wheelers tearing corners off on the return run through the first loop
The Robinsons did ok with Liz having a spin in a few corners but doing no major damage as it finished the weekend but knocked her around psychologically but I think she'll be back as she laughed when I said she wouldn't have any problems next time as she'll know there's heaps of room to swing the car around without doing much damage!
We got told by the Bathurst guys that the AHCC is back there next year on the Esses so we'll have to have another go at that as I wont make the mistake of going on those Yokohamas again http://www.mgccq.org.au/raceresults.htm
