It's a great place Mark, specially in an escort!
Ted: We were running a 5.1 in practice but blew the diff up. So we had to go back to the phillip island ratio (4.44), it's not too bad but does tend to bog down a little at the top of the hill.
Was watching your video at Bathurst Ted, car sounds seriously strong!! Great job with driving too, looked very busy.
Cheers

Your car looks so well balanced Lachlan. The track looks very well suited to an Escort. I'm still trying to get organised to get over there. Cant wait to see how you go in the cars new spec at the Island. Hopefully you can stick it up even more Minis.

Lachlan
So if we come over in October a 4.7 would be pretty good?

Hey there Ted.
4.7 would be well and truly in the ball park. Should be able to use 2nd through the esses and at the end of teh straight. We're going for a 4.9 in the 1300 (mind you, less power than a lotus though).
Let me know if you need any help coming over. Might be able to tee something up.
Cheers

Hey Peter. The 4.4 isn't really suited to the track. It's a pretty conservative motor, so it usually sees 8,000 but on the odd occasion (depending on the start) it might see 9,000... :)
I'm sure the lotus escort would love to come and meet Baskerville raceway :)
