Just a couple of pics of my mk1
I started this about 18 months ago, the car started life in 1972 as a 1300 auto
I said it would be a 2 year project when i started and i am still saying it will be finished in another 2 years
Never seem to have enough time or money to spend on it
Interested in peoples thoughts on the car

Looking good Chris.
So what are the specs: engine, driveline etc?
Re the pics, if you make them around 700 pix as mentioned it gives a good size for the board. If you need help let me know.

G'day Nev
If you could blow the pics up it would be appreciated
The car is pretty boring at this stage 2000 pinto with sierra 5 speed
The motor is stroked 2mm, datto rods, 92mm vw pistons, block needs 2.3mm
taken of the top to restore compression, i will do that this week and can then
assemble the bottom end
The head is a bloody nightmare as per the other thread, got a couple of 45mm dellortos and Clive 159 grind billet cam for it
The motor is really not too far away from finished and then i will have a look at the suspension and brakes

Car looks good. Nice and straight. And let's face it, when is an Escort ever finished????
Oh and how funny is this. We share a last name. Not too many Pfeiffers in Perth though. I think I'm 1 of 4. Also you gotta love a last name that no one can spell...NOT!

G,day RS27
Pfeiffer has about 630 odd different spellings from what i can gather
over a lifetime of people trying to spell it, dont you just love some of the versions we get?
Your Mk11 looks nice from what i see on another forum
Throttle Bodies should flow a bit more power into it

Got a 'new" used tank and popped it in, no leaks
Next problem, no fuel at the carbies, seems i didnt think the pin that drives the fuel pump was really need
Found the pin, put it in got fuel and it started after a couple of cranks
Wont idle under 1800 revs, back 2 cylinders are running richer than the
Packer family but i dont care it goes , the carbs are as i bought them second hand and the dizzy timing was my best guess
The electrics still need a good tidy up and then i will worry getting it to run a bit better
This car may just get on the road one day
