Hi I just signed up today, I am from Ireland and have been building my mk2 escort for the past few years. It was imported from Australia some years back. It had a sticker on the radiator which was re cored in Adelaide. Not sure how to add photos here yet or if any one still uses this forum as the last posts seem fairly old.

Yeah it is a little quiet here these days, but a few of us keep an eye on it.

welcome..what colour was the Mk2? I sold a Mk2 from adelaide into ireland a few years ago?

Hi Guys thanks for the welcome, unfortunately our Irish forum has gone very quite too thanks to FB.

The car was a dark purple colour when I bought it, the condition was very good in comparison to the rotten shells here. I took it off the road 3 years ago to have some holes in the floor fixed and repaint the engine bay. I was then talked into a full strip down and respray, since then I have recently moved it to a new panel beater as the first one was less than useless. I will try and add a photo in its current state.

Ah ok mine was neither purple or I reasonable condition. Good luck with the build.
