Ok the time has come to give the old girl a light restoration, I have owned this one for 10 years now and in this time have done nothing to it other than polish it now and again. Its still running on the original engine so have to use a lead additive everytime I fill it up and the body is straight. It's just that that the paint work is tired and have a few little dings that I've always wanted to get sorted out.
Nose cone came off really easily and found nothing nasty today other than a dent on the front valance. Good wheels are off and replaced with shitty ones, now have to start sneaking the interior inside while the wife ain't looking

BTW the red back didn't last long after I spotted it, didn't fancy getting a little love bite

That there spider is copying your paint scheme; just make sure there's no red belly hiding somewhere as well!

Light resto my eye, bloody thing is consuming me and its looking like it'll be a complete strip (as usual I suppose). Suppose it'll be easier to respray though as no silly masking off required.
Not happy with the way the 5 speed box is fitted though so this will be the subject of attention but other than that its reasonable for a 32 year old car :-)

Bonnet didn't turn out very well so this will be done again but other than that and blacking out around the windows the car is just about ready to come home :-)

I passed mine in 88 and also acquired a Mk2 as my first wheels after wrapping my mothers laser around a phone pole and being banned from my parents insurance

Doors lined up and corrosion inhibitor applied everywhere, bit of a pong but I'm sure that'll go with time

Not done much TBH but nose cone back on, started to fit a new roof lining yesterday so creeping ever closer and hoping to have it done for the all ford day in October (maybe :-))
