What are your plans for it??

1/4 mile or burnout's? They don't turn corners too well with the big lumps IMHO.

the mota is a long way back so that would help with handling? An alloy V8 wouldnt weight much (any?) more than a boat anchor Pinto????

Hahahaaaaa,i've done alot of research and working out on this escort.I'm going to have no dramas with it turning corners as there is bugger all weight over the front axles.I wanted to save some money on the sump as it was going to costme nearly $600 for a sump and pickup,but then there would be too much weight over the front axles.

So i mounted the engine further back,so i could use the standard sump.

The car is built for burnouts,1/8mile and cruise events.

I'm using a 302 cleveland for the meantime as i have a V8 ZK fairlane which is donating the running gear.But once up and running im going to build a 302 windsor with alloy heads and will have a big snail hanging off it lol.

I'm going to have this car up and running by september 2011 as im going to take it to winton performance car mania.

Im up to finishing off the welding of the firewall and tunnel and also have modified the steering column.Once the welding has finished i can fit my column in and the motor and box in and then brace the top of the engine bay and under neath with bolt in beams to help with the stress.

Rear end for now im going to run a b1800 diff which i have,is going to be redrilled to suit 5 stud ford pattern and running AU rims 15inch.I was measuring last night you can fit a 275/50 15inch tyre under the rear guards with alittle massaging lol and cutting hahahaaaa.We'll see how i go.

I'll stick up some pics off the when there was a massive hole lol.

The crank pulley and water pump pulley are inline with the crossmember.It will still handle much like a car with a big engine in it.But may still be surprised when going around corners.But isnt made to do that just cruising,burnouts,powerskids,drag.

Leave the stockies on it, it makes an awesome sleeper....

I cant fit stockies on the back as its a 6 stud diff im using.As for the front i am going with a 5 stud conversion and commodore calipers.It's not ment to be a sleeper as in november after its first race meet i will be turboing it and the air pipe from the carby to the turbo will be out of the bonnet.

It's actually starting to look good. Can't wait to see what it does down the quarter.
