Hey everyone my names hayden, just so you all know this is my old man's account i only have a hotmail email so he said I could borrow his until he makes me a new one.

I've recently accquired a 1976 mk 2 four door escort. I'm guessing it's around a 76 it has no compliance plates. It's a mettalic blue, not to sure if factory. it had 13" enkei crossfever reps on it i've put minilites on it. I bought it with a dodgey turbo build. A leaking turboand a lot cut out of the radiator support. So a mate put his old 2 l capri motor in it, extractors mild headwork.

Well yesterday I was working on my E21 and a man came and offered me a nice amount of money for it he's currently speaking to his wife.

I have about a 4k budget atm which needs to include licensing. New carpets and a new radiator support installed is going to cost me a grand for the two.

Where else should i spend the rest? what tyres and suspension would you reccomend for a street friendly occasionally hillclimbed/tracked car? and i'm wanting a front and rear spoiler so far the fiberglass rally pack options from rolly are looking good.

does anyone have some rubber spoilers out there? or a roundie front grill?

Hey everyone expected some replies... but you get that.

Well I'm about to go finish up some wiring on the old girl and hopefully have the exhaust finished today. i've never bent an exhaust so i don't know how long it'll take. Resonator before or after the muffler?

Quick question do you really need to to undo an engine mount and lift the engine to put the starter motor in? There has to be an easier way then we done it..

Gaz shocks? What's the opinions guys? Some people have warned me about spax and GAZ saying that the oil is designed for england so it overheats very easily over here and blows seals, but then saw some on Rolly Waters car yesterday so made me re think them. I forgot to ask him while I was there about them.

Is anyone interested in a cashie for replacing the front apron if i supply a new one? so far i've been told four to five hundred in labour for it, is this a decent price?

No compliance plates is going to be an issue - you'd best sort that one out before putting too much into the car.

You can remove the starter with everything in place - its all in how you rotate it away from the bellhousing. Unless its a Cortina one (larger).

Whats your current suspension - have you had the front inserts out for a look?

Resonator after the muffler is normal - serves no purpose b4 it as far as I know.

I run 15" Bridgestone RE001s which are supposed to be a street / track hybrid. I feel they are kind of stuck in the middle somewhere - almost too good for street, but not really up to the punishment of the track.

I have a fibreglass one spare which is identical if you decide to go that way. ~$80

hey guys not to much progress so far, picking it up from my mates tomorrow and it's going into to see tony to have some work done.
Going to order some falken 205 / 55/15 fronts and 225/50/15 rears. Just bought a new front bumper for it. some venetians a tow bar and some spare heads. So the head's going to be built after i get it running.

Just waiting on some cash for a mate then it's recieving some 4 pot calipers with 296mm rotors which should make it stop very fast! now just need it to be going fast
