Kevins Mk2

Hey guys, in keeping with the spirit of things, i thought i'de post a few pics of my eskimort.
This is the second escort i've owned, the last was a blue 4 door that i decided to get rid of after a strut practially broke in half while going over a railway crossing, damaging most of the drivers side front.
Anyways, this one's a 1980 2-door auto GL. I found her parked by the side of the road, me being me, i can't help slowing down n taking a looksie when i see an escort. The thing that really got my attention on this one was there was no drivers seat(was sparco-was stolen) and and the exhaust was chocked full of cobwebs. I pulled over and had a look at the rego - about 3 months expired, so i knocked on the door and asked the owner(champion) if he would consider selling it.
I got her and everything pictured on it for $500. I was originally planning on an sr20det conversion BUT... i decided to go back and give engineering another go at the start of this year so will be on a very limited budget for a fairly long time. I'll probably just hunt ebay for single or double weber 45's and do the full engine conversion in a few years.
The car runs fine, so my main goal at the moment is finishing the panelwork and getting registered. I just wanna drive an escort again.
