RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

My 1980 Midnight Blue 4 door RS2000, bought as a back lot special from the local Ford dealer in 1990.

Rebuilt then driven daily until she was parked in the shed in 1998, rolled her out 10 years later, fitted the Idf's and new fuel lines, replaced the brake booster and gave her a polish...






Best not to drive too spiritedly on 10 year old rubber...






Getting harder to find 205/60r13 rubber with RWL - finally chased down an importer for these; come form the states and have a pricetag to match ........




And off to the car shows for a bit of as chin wag

Very nice James, you can tell in the sunset shot the doors have never been shut with a bum, They dent around the door handles and goes oil canny.
It's looks time warp straight down the sides.

Good to see another MK2 Four door RS2000 about on here.

First day home fresh from the 'back lot specials' at Broadley Ford in early 1990, poor girl was in dire need of some TLC (apologies for crappy quality photos)

Sadly I have no idea where this one ended up - brother stripped it down to 'restore', he ended up selling it off as a project to put his Austin Healy Sprite mkIII on the road...
