Yes, it's going back to it's 1979 spec which means it will have the red & blue stripes over it with the De Bortoli signage. Although it will probably be all vinyl this time around, rather than paint.

and out the back under resto was the original Geoghan MKI Lotus Cortina (complete with it's alloy panels), a GT500 Cortina awaiting resto, and a pile of pieces under a tarp that's rumoured to be a Phase 3 HO

Funny thing is 16.vlv was always going to have black centred wheels to follow the theme. In fact the car had black 4 spoke dragways on it when I bought it.


The white wheels seemed to work so I've left then.

Whats the specs ?

EB block, standard crank, prepped rods, CP pistons, big valve head, P5 cam, twin 48 IDF webers, Gonzo extractors, Mallory twin point dizzy, Mellings oil pump, steel flywheel with Sachs clutch. All pretty standard Grp C stuff. Should go alright (I hope).


PS not real sure about black centered wheels on white car.

Well at least they fit now. Had the seats altered to 108 PCD. Deciding on tyres - Hoosiers or Avons are the only ones making crossply slicks now. At least with black you won't see the brake dust. If I get time I'll redo them gold, otherwise.....

Depends on head, but either Ferera or Holbay

Must be 2L. 1600 head is illegal
