Mk1 SR20DET conversoin

Hello
This is my first post on the site. I am based in Perth and own a 73 mk1 escort with a nissan sr20det. I have had a few escorts in my time including a nice mk2 with 2L twin 45's, 5 speed and a few other good bits. The car got pinched so i started building my mark 1. This time i wanted a lot of power but i wanted it to run well at idle and in traffic and be a very useable car. That lead me to think about using the SR20 turbo and geabox despite all the criticism from the hardcore traditionalists. The engine and box cost me $2000 compared to around $10k plus for the cossie so the decision was easy. After the engine went in i knew i would need a new diff to handle the power so i got a friend to cut down a XD falcon BW LSD and using the cortina shortened axles. Next was big brakes so i bought some 290mm cross drilled discs and Nissan R32GTR 4 spot calipers with fitting kit. I use the pedal box with the reverse mounted master cylinders including one for the clutch along with a remote brake boister. I have adjustable height struts up front along with Koni (not so adjustable) inserts. Reverse eye lowered leaf springs in the rear with Koni adjustable shocks. Also went for the quick rack and bigger swaybars.
Body work - i knew i wanted to fit bigger wheels so when i started the body work a panel beater friend help me put on some twin cam front flares. I did not buy the whole guards just the flared section and about 2 inch or surround. after welding and smoothing the fit is perfect. My dad and i did the rest of the body work before having the car sprayed in Porcshe Guards Red. New rubbers, Toyota MR2 front seats, new retrimmed door cards, rear seat rear parcel shelf, roof lining, custom centre console and custom dash. Due to the Nissan electrics i used all VDO gauges including 300km speedo, tacho, boost, oil etc.
The motor is standard other than microtech ECU, r33 turbo, pod filter, 2.5inch exhuast. Running 10psi the car has done 12.8 down the quarter but i am hoping to go a bit quicker with a new turbo. i have competed in a few small events in WA including the classic rally. I am not the best driver (i am ok!) and being a bit scared of wrecking the car has meant that i have always achieved average results. Not too bothered as the car was always built as a street car with potential to do a bit of racing.
