My RS Cossie
Posted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:40 pmG'Day Fella's, am just new to forum (finally found one in OZ about cossies) and I own a 1988 2WD RS Sierra cosworth which I bought in UK in 98 whilst I was living over there.Saw them driving around over there and after much research had to have one.Was talking about the Sapphire at work and one of the guys heard me mention it and told me he had one stored and was thinking of selling it as he never drove it.
After he brought it into work the next day he took me for a spin and that was it ,I had to have it.
After driving it in Europe for a year I imported it to OZ which was an interesting experience and have driven it ever since but at moment it sits in garage under cover as want to do some tinkering and put in aircon which I sourced but family requirements take precedent.
It has the stage 3 bayoo chip,27 psi boost which makes for some exillerating driving,I had it on German Autobarn at 160mph and it was still pulling except got jelly legs when front wheels were leaving the ground when they went over the joins in the concrete on the road.
Looks like a great site with some very knowledgable members posting about cossie engines.
