Gents,

A quick question. I just replaced my leafs with a new set as well as putting urethane bushes, however when i try and bounce the rear end of the car it just doesnt move. At 1st i thought wow what an improvement but now i am begining to think that maybe the bushes have been tightened up so much that the hinges at the rear of the leafs dont rotate. WHat are your views.

The bushes should have come with crush sleeves.


With these fitted it is nigh on impossible to over tighten the bushes.

Are the new leaves a sfiffer spring rate ?

THe urethane bushes did not come with crush sleeves and the spring rate is exactly the same. I know this becasue i made the springs at Monroe Springs when i worked there and i copied them over 110%.

If the crush sleeves were not used then I assume the shackles have jammed on the bushes. The bushes should have been supplies with sleeves

I think you need to contact the supplier etc.

I have bought two sets of Urethane bushes, Nolathane and Noltec and only the bushes for the front spring eyes have had crush tubes.
The rears don't have crush tubes and I have always made sure not to overtighten for this reason, but make sure you use lock nuts.
