I was just wondering if anyone has tried to fit power steering to their Escort? We have looked at a number of racks but they all appear to create bump steer issues, any ideas?

keep the original rack and fit electric power steer to the column.

Gidday Gerald. Have a look at this site for some ideas.

It seems everyone in the UK is using a late model Barina electric power steering unit and modifying it to fit. Prepfab even sell a kit (at some astronomical price) based on this. If you look around turbosport.co.uk or some fabricator websites (Prepfab to name but one) you will see what they are doing.
