Hi Guys

My MK1 Escort 2 litre has V6 Capri front struts and brakes, what options do I have for inserts? I ran Bilstiens in my last escort but I don’t think you can make the inserts (Threaded ones) fit the Carpi Struts? Do GAZ or similar do inserts for them, I have had a look in the Rally Design catalogue but it says except MK1 Capri for quite a few of their options.

Tbere are bilsteins for the threaded or inverted capri struts.

Jason Bilstein is definitely a better pick than Gaz but stop looking at the Capri listing and look at Mk1 and 2 Escort RS. As they're the same except for the spring seat postion

So Danny the Capri MK1 strut are the same tube length as the Escort Struts? I have seen the drop in Bilstiens for the Escort struts as I had them in my German RS. Do you know if those inserts have the thicker top shaft to suit the roller top strut tops?

I can’t remember why I put Capri struts in it 25 years ago were the brakes slightly bigger? Bigger stub axel maybe?
