Capri strut top bolt/thread spec

Hi Guys,

I have a new set of gartrac coilovers waiting to go in to my MK1, does anyone know the bolt/thread spec for the 6 bolts (3 each side) in the capri struts tops? I cant reuse the original bolts from the old struts, they are knackered and the thread is different anyway.

It looks like they are M8 x 20 or 25mm.

If the strut tops are original Mk1 Capri, Escort or original Ford roller bearing units (as per Works cars) they would be 5/16 UNF from memory. Any of the new style roller bearing units could be anything depending on the manufacturer.
