Has anyone seen or heard of the steel tube on a escort style strut being replaced...Cut out and a new steel tube of correct size welded back in?
My 'bilstein' struts wont fit the Koni insert as they are 3mm thick material vs the standard 2mm. Inserts are 44mm lower hal and 45mm upper Bilesteins have an ID of 44mm.

Cheers

JP

I build up struts from scratch.

2" CDS .080" wall.

The rest needs to be sorted based on insert and set up.

If using second hand stub axles it's best to jig them and machine out what's left of the old tube after cutting it down.
